Today I am remembering a legend, Phillip Seiden.
A man who taught me my hunter safety course. A person who cared about people.
He was a School Counselor, Volunteer Fireman, a mentor to many and a person that loved people.
A man Ive known since I was very young. He was a good friend of my parents. He had a great sense of humor and quick with a joke.
I have know Phil for over 43 years and he is a person I had a lot of respect for.
A person that was some story teller and you always questioned him because he always slanted the truth.
I didn’t see him often but did think of him a lot. For many years on opening day of deer season I would check in with him. To this day I still never knew the truth on who harvested what deer or if they ever shot a deer because I was always greeted with a story from Phil. I would call him to play a trick on him periodically just to one up him and we would both get a good laugh.
I was just notified by his wife of his passing and can say a legend in my eyes is gone.
RIP to a man that taught me so much about life at hunting camp as a young person. A person that taught so many people and was loved by all.
You will be missed but always remembered. Thanks Phil.
