Jack, I am glad I got to meet your Dad about 15 years ago. He was quick with a joke and I enjoyed our dinner. I see where you get your personality and your devotion to helping others. You and your other brothers are a legacy to him. All our love, OHANA Heidi and Bill Burgoon - Virginia
So sorry for your loss always enjoy talking with Gerry
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers and memories he was a fun person
Dear Joan and Family: My heartfelt condolences to you all. I was such a lucky person to have known "Jerry". He was the most genuine, loving guy you could imagine. During the years my mother, Florence Cable, was living in the Senior Housing in Grand Gorge, Jerry would take such good care of her and all his passengers on the Independence bus. I can not say enough praise for his compassion towards others. Loved his sense of humor too. We will all miss him so very much. All my love to you, Patty Wright
Mrs. Maxwell and family ,
Please accept my sincere sympathies in your great loss. Amy (Vance) Soule
The Maxwell family is one of my fondest memories of my childhood. Bus rides with a Maxwell was always safe and happy experience . May “that of God in each of them” continue to resonate in Delhi. My condolences to the family.
My memory of Gerry goes all the way back to mid 1970’s when I worked for Giles as a “gas jockey” and my best friend worked in the same capacity at Maxwell’s. Gerry always had a smile and a story. Biggest candy selection in Delhi too. Rest In Peace Gerry.
Mr Maxwell! The BEST bus driver ever. He was fun, stern, safe, and cared so much about all of us on Bus 94! I love the picture an have such fond memories of feeling safe a cared for on that yellow bus. And Halloween? Full sized candy bars from the station. Thank you for a life well lived Jerry. You made a true difference in my life.
Very sorry to hear that Mr. Maxell had passed. He was always one of my favorite people at Chestnut Park and I'm sure all the staff there is missing him today! Thank you for letting us care for Jerry for all these years --- He was truly one of a kind!
I will remember Jerry with fondness. He always had a smile which made me smile. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Maxwell Family and...may he rest in peace!
We are so sad to hear of the passing of Gerry. Our heats go out to the family. He had the sunniest disposition and always was smiling and letting people know he was happy to see them. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed. With all our sympathy,
