I am very sorry to hear of Mr Wilbur's passing. There are so many fond memories of the Wilbur family and seeing Mr Wilbur every year at the Fair keeping those great old engines "popping" all day long. My condolences to Mrs Wilbur and the entire family. He was and always will be a great man!

Aunt Sylvia and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. My earliest memories are of visiting the farm. Uncle Dick let Lois and I carry (together) a small pail of milk, by ourselves, down the big hill to the farmhouse. We were careful and proud that he trusted us with such an important job. Many years later, Jim and I loved visiting and hearing his stories and jokes. He was gracious in sharing his time and knowledge of making syrup.

To the Wilbur family: I am sorry for your loss. I hope he and Richard are celebrating in heaven.

Sylvia, Mark, Tim and family, I can not begin to express to you my heart felt sympathy for your loss! I have many fond memories of time time spent with all of you from weddings, parties and the “guys” Walt, Chugger and Dick working into the wee hours of of the morning building games, etc for the firemen’s field days and other carrying on things these guys would do!! Cherish those memories that are what holds you together during these difficult days!

Sylvie and family and friends of Dick.......I was very saddened to read of Dick's death. He touched so many lives along the way - and left a trail of jokes and good natured laughter. He'll be missed by many.

Sending my most sincere condolences to the Wilbur family. My husband, Sid, knew Dick quite well over the years, especially when Sid was Highway Superintendent for Kortright. I am a 5th cousin to Dick, although I did not know of it at the time when we visited. This relationship comes through both sides of my family tree. Both the Howland side (my mother) and the Cable side (my father) are in your roots. Keep all of your precious memories of Dick close to your heart.
