Condolences
Dave was my Mom's (Ruth's) favorite brother, which is why she asked him to be my Godfather. I have nothing but delightful and happy memories of Uncle Dave. He was dubbed "The King of One-liners" by another relative, and I have to agree with that. Dave gave me books, silver dollars, a two dollar bill, and a stamp collecting book, in addition to a Brownie Camera that made me a life-long photographer. The book I recall is Zane Grey, Call of the Wild. May his spirit and Ruth's rejoice, as I believe they are. Daniel Geery
My memories of Uncle Dave and the Callahan clan are full of laughter and fun! I see his legacy continue through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nieces and grand nieces. I hold Uncle Dave as an example of a life well lived and aspire to fill my life with kindness, compassion, spirituality and love like he did. I send you all love, prayers and compassion for your sadness as the list of our ancestors grows. Thank you for guarding and sharing their memories through pictures and stories. Love to you all.

Dear Leo,
My deepest sympathies to you and your entire family on the loss of your beloved dad. What an amazing individual ~ a genuine family man who served in the military, his church, his community; who pursued life so passionately, and accomplished so much in all of his endeavors. What an extraordinary role model. I'm a fellow genealogy and word puzzle buff, so I certainly understand your dad's contentment in those enjoyable efforts. May your sadness soon pass and only your cherished memories remain.
Warmest condolences,
Kathleen A. Ryan

Dear Aunt Sally and family. Jan and I send our prayers for Uncle Dave. He lived a long good life, and loved his family as much as you all loved him. He now passes to unite with all his and our family members, who preceded him. This is the thought that consoles us at this time of sorrow, that we are all still being cared for by those who we love. Uncle Dave will remain in our hearts. Much love,
Paul

As I'm sure he knows. Let him know at the funeral that the Brownie camera he gave me circa age 10 set me on a lifetime foray into photography, one that eventually helped my brother, John David Geery, do Vermont photography for a living.
