I vividly recall Gus introducing me to his girlfriend, Jan, at a basketball game when he and I were both at Siena College. We graduated together. He went on to teach in high school and later joined me at Delhi College. He and Jan were a wonderful couple, great parents, faithful Catholics, and among the finest people I have ever known. Now that she has joined him, may they rest forever together in peace. Vince Ruggiero

Jan interviewed and recommended me for the positon I held at the Infirmary; she was always there to help me out when I needed it. Her kindness and care for the residents and her co-workers was apparent every day. She was such an intelligent, lovely lady. My condolences to the family.

I worked at the Infirmary and had the pleasure of working with Jan there. She was always positive and encouraging, and very pleasant in every way. She was a strong testimony to her Catholic faith. I worked with Jan at the Infirmary. Jan was a beautiful lady who I always looked up to. When I had issues with raising my two children and didn’t think I could get thru the ordeal, I always thought of Jan and would remind myself that if Jan could handle 9 children, I could handle my 2! Jan was a blessing to all who crossed her path. Her soul is pure and kind. She truly emulated the character of a saint, and the world was transformed into a kinder and more benevolent place because of her presence and the beauty of her essence, which lives on within her children and grandchildren.
