James Robert Fuller

Condolences
I am so very sorry to learn that Mr. Fuller has passed away. I will always remember him and his wonderful family. They lived on the other side of my house in Stamford, NY. I grew to love the entire family, and enjoyed playing with Mary, Jimmy, and Margaret. (Ann was not yet born!)
One day, Mr. Fuller took me fishing with his daughter Mary, and I caught a sun fish, I believe it was! Later, I was in chorus and thoroughly enjoyed the traditional holiday concerts he conducted, especially. He made it fun and was a perfectionist at his "craft."
He took great pride in his students and I loved seeing the band concerts on Memorial Day, etc.
I am very happy to have known him. (and family!) He will never be forgotten..

Please accept my sincere condolences on Mr. Fuller's passing. I was blessed to have him for an instrumental music teacher and band director for 8 years (elementary, junior and senior high bands). He remains one of my favorite teachers at Stamford Central School! He truly was a beloved teacher and musician, inspiring all of his students to be disciplined and to strive to improve in every area of life. Passionate, dedicated and inspiring are just a few words that describe Mr. Fuller. May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort and love in the words and prayers of all who knew, respected and loved him. ~Terry Hirscher Hait~
My deepest condolences and sympathy to his family & friends. I'm blessed to have so many fond of memories of Mr Fuller.

What a passionate musician and teacher!
Mr. Fuller brought his talent to a small town in the Catskills and changed countless lives! His conducting the momentous 1812 Overture was a favorite memory, along with his drill sergeant style in leading the SCS marching band to award upon award is also forever emblazoned in my memory!
Thank you, Fuller family, for sharing him with us!
Rest In Peace, Mr. Fuller!

I started taking piano lessons from Mr Fuller when I was six. He was always so patient and encouraging with a great sense of humor. Anyone else remember marching band practice when he would stop us in front of Miss Hamilton’s house and play Ruffles and Flourishes and she would come out and wave? Ahhhh small town life. Mr Fuller made band and chorus fun but also taught us life lessons without us even realizing it. He made music so much fun and meaningful during those crazy teenage years that I couldn’t help but encourage my own children to join band and chorus hoping they would be lucky enough to have a music teacher like Mr Fuller. My condolences to his family and friends. He was one of a kind and blessed all of our lives.
My deepest sympathies to the Fuller family. I have such great memories from highschool band with Jim.... string of pearls... Pennsylvania 65000.... May he rest in peace.
Sending my sincere condolences and prayers to Mr. Fuller's Family...
Mr. Fuller was an awesome teacher and a gift to mankind! I had the pleasure of having him as my teacher in Instrumental Band in elementary school, General Music, and as the Director of the SCS Band. He instilled a deep sense of commitment to excellence, passion, respect, and always striving to do your best in all of us. I still think of him and the memories he left in my mind--marching up and down River Street to prepare for the Memorial Day Parade; the band concerts that we practiced so hard for; his New England accent; and encouraging us to never give up. Growing up in Stamford, NY and attending Stamford Central School was a privilege, and Mr. Fuller knew how to make us appreciate it. RIP and know that you live on the lives of so many of us.

He was a great teacher and for sure had great patience, trying to teach me how to play the flute. RIP, Mr Fuller. Condolences to the family.
Thank you Mr Fuller for teaching me an appreciation of music. I was not your most stellar student but what I learned from you has given me an appreciation for music on so many levels You were a great teacher and loved your music. I so appreciate your kind teachings and opening my mind. RIP dear Mr Fuller

My heart goes out to the Fuller family. Mr. Fuller was my favorite teacher. Although it’s been many years since I graduated, I have very fond memories of the many lessons Mr. Fuller taught. One was, if you’re going to sit in the front row with a dress on, keep your knees together! Mr. Fuller had the patience of a Saint. He was a wonderful teacher and I absolutely loved playing in the band. My mom used to say it was my trumpet that got me through school! I am saddened that Mr. Fuller has passed. He will always be remembered as a professional and very much a gentleman. Rest In Peace Mr. Fuller. I will never forget you.
I was saddened to hear of Mr. Fuller’s passing. I remember him as a proud papa watching Indian basketball!! Rest In Peace.
