Obituary of Jill Carmody

Jill Carmody went to be with the lord on Monday August 12, 2024, due to complications following open heart surgery. 

She was born September 5,1959, in Delhi, NY, the daughter of Herman Bugge and Enid Vila.  Jill was a 1978 graduate of Delaware Academy.

Jill was a great cook and enjoyed cooking, baking and catering for friends and family.  She made several crocheted blankets for loved ones.  You could always find her cheering her grandsons at their many sporting events.

She was very involved in the community.  Both as a member of the Treadwell Fire Department and the score keeper for the local vintage baseball team.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her stepmother Julia Bugge and Grandmother Mary-Jane Ternowski (Gram T).

Jill is survived by her husband: James Carmody; children: Kim and Jeremy; brother: Herman “Skip” Bugge (Deb); sisters: Laura Fessenden (Earl), Julie Cobane (Dave), and Lillian “Sissy” Moore; and her grandsons: Preston, Cooper and Mason Vanwie.

A celebration of Jill’s life will be held 4-8PM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Delhi American Legion, 41 Page Ave., Delhi, NY.
