Obituary of Ronald Allan Dorosky
Ronald Allan Dorosky 83, of Davenport, NY passed away on May 5, 2024. He was born on March 2, 1941, in Stamford, NY
Ron was a dependable and honest man who was always willing to go out of his way for those he loved. He was known to many as Uncle Ronnie. He was very family oriented, with a warm laugh, and enjoyed engaging in conversations with others.
In his career, Ron had a diverse professional journey. He drove a milk truck, was the Town of Davenport Highway Superintendent, worked for the Delaware County DPW, was the co-owner of the Timbers, and was the owner of Ron Dorosky Trucking.
His hobbies included being an avid Yankees fan, enjoyed various sports, fishing, hunting, and playing in the dirt. He was a Nascar fan, with Dale Earnhardt as his favorite driver. Ron especially cherished moments spent with his granddaughter.
Ron is survived by his daughter: Julie (Dorosky) Pietrefesa; granddaughter: Brittani Pietrefesa; sisters: Janet (Dorosky) Rifenbark and Donna (Dorosky) Brockway; brother: Gary Dorosky and several nephews and nieces whom he treated as his own children.
He was predeceased by his wife: Beverly (Fingar) Dorosky; and his parents: Alexander Dorosky and Eleanor (Tryon) Dorosky.
Ronald “Ronnie” Allan Dorosky will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Friends and relatives are invited to call from 4-7PM on Friday May 17, 2024 at MacArthur Funeral Home 15 Buntline Drive Stamford, NY. Where a celebration of life will follow at 7PM.
