To the family of Celia Clark, my condolences, thoughts and prayers to you all. I recently, in the last two years did try to relocate Celia to no avail, thinking she had left the area. A number of years ago I purchased a couple of paintings for my family from Celia - one huge painting I believe entitled 'Stood Up' which was a painting of my niece so greatly treasured now by the family. In that process, I neglected to have bought for myself any of her paintings and I had recently, in the last couple of years, tried to relocate her though could not find her nor get an answer on the phone numbers I had - to again see her and possibly purchase something for myself which I would have loved. I was so disappointed not to have found her but today see her obituary in the newspaper. Celia was such a sweet, sincere and genuine person and gifted beyond the normal in painting. Her daughter, though I don't recall which one at the time, was also greatly gifted in the making of jewelry. Celia had shared and shown me a couple of pieces her daughter had made for her when I met with her in her home. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you family and also ask that you forgive me the timing here but I'm including my home phone number and asking that a family member 'in-charge' would at a later date please contact me if there is any chance that Celia's work or paintings might still be available to buy. Please contact me at your convenience and I would consider it an honor to own her paintings. Again so respectfully submitted, Thank you, Sue Lapine, Franklin, NY 13775, 607-829-3339.
