Obituary of Barbara Martin

Barbara Martin,78, of Killern Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, September 12, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, New York.

Barbara was born in Margaretville, New York, on December 9 1944. She was the daughter of the late John Kilter and Elno Sprague Kilter Tompkins originally of Andes New York.

Barbara attended Andes Central School until she dropped out her senior year. She later obtained her GED.

Barbara worked for Yellow Cab in Binghamton, NY, for many years. She also worked at Automation in Windsor, NY, and Endicott Johnson Shoe Company in Endicott, NY. She later went on to obtain her CNA and started her career as a certified nursing assistant,she worked for several years in this field, for various nursing homes and assisted living centers, last working for Twilight Manor in Cayce, SC.

Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by two daughters; Daphne Bogart and Elsie Guiles, as well as two grandsons; John Bouton Jr. And Steven Guiles.

Barbara is survived by her siblings: Kathleen Shaffer, Carrie, Tina, and John Jr.; her children: Danny, Donny, Louis, Lewis, Kimberley, and Machell; several grandchildren, which meant the world to her: Tasha Bogart, Jessica Bouton, Patrick McCann, Sebastian Conklin, Marcus Robinson Jr., Lucas Guiles, Patricia Robinson, Mercedes Conklin, Austin Bound, and Katana Bound; great-grandchildren: Natalia and Angel Capolupo, Nicholas Bouton, Macenze Guiles (which Barbara had custody of), Damien, John, and Samantha Guiles, Anthony Ingraham, Tyler Brown, Melody Sprague, Adilyn Keenan, Joseph Beers, Logan Lockwood, Russel, Christian, Noah, Gemma, Hailey, Freya, and Page Mary Ellen Pitt, Riley and Skyler Lawton, Chase Conklin Wellman; and many neices, nephews and friends.

A memorial will be held at noon on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the First Baptist Church 21 second St. Delhi NY, with Rev. Jeff Staples.
