Been thinking of Tom and with tax season over, as a fellow CPA, I wanted to get in touch. My last communication with him was April of 2023 on a tax question to get Tom's thoughts. I am so sorry to not have known that Tom passed in May 2023. I met him in Binghamton at a Cornell Tax School and visited him at his office in Delhi and had a dessert next door at the restaurant where Jayne Anne worked. We did a few Zoom sessions as well. My deepest condolences to Jayne Anne and Quinn and the rest of the family. Tom Kelley was a wonderful human being who led an interesting life. I will miss him.

I just learned of Thom's passing. I was a client of his for 35 years. As it says in his obituary he cared deeply for his clients...I certainly felt it, and remember him going above and beyond to solve a problem for me. I always felt I was dealing with a friend when I talked to Thom. My condolences to all who loved him.

Thomas was not only a generous and kind friend for over 20 years but our valued accountant for many years. We are going to miss him immensely; he is gone too soon.

Thomas was a pivotal person on the day of 9/11 as he came to guide us as we walked through Lower Manhattan to the safety of his and Jayne Anne’s apartment. So many wonderful memories of visiting in Delhi, skiing at Plattekill, ocean diving far out on the surf with Quinn on the Jersey Shore and closer to home, celebrating July 4th in the backyard. Thomas always exhibited a zest for life and an open-minded spirit, he had traveled far but home and family were where his heart rested. Sending love and thoughts to Jayne Anne and his entire family at this sad time.

Dennis and I are devastated at the news of Tom's passing. He was a gentle soul a valued friend, and we treasured our professional relationship. Our hearts go out to Jayne and his beautiful family and friends. And whenever I hear the song "Play That Funky Music, White Boy," I think of him when he and I chair-danced (he'd just had hip surgery, if I recall) at a benefit for his beloved charity, Heart of the Catskills Humane Society. Lay down that boogie in the Sweet Hereafter, dear Tom.
