Stephanie” Steph” Lynn Doolittle, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, February 13, 2023, at the age of 58.

Steph was born October 29,1964 in Lancaster Pa. She spent much of her childhood years moving from state to state with her family.  Living in over 10 states, her happiest times being Connecticut, Colorado, and Tennessee, before returning to Delhi, NY in 1980. Steph finished her high school years at Delaware Academy and then she attended Sullivan County Community College. As an adult she lived in Binghamton, Walton, Delhi and, most recently, Oneonta.

Steph was predeceased by her parents Russell & Anne Doolittle of Delhi, New York, her aunt and uncle Warren and Ruth Doolittle of Sidney, as well as her grandparents Harold & Marion Doolittle of Sidney and Ruth & Charles Farmlett of Delhi.

Her love of people led her to work at such places as The Delaware County Infirmary, The Creekside Social Club, Alice’s Attic and Cross Roads Cafe where she held a variety of positions over the years.  Later in life, she became her mother’s caregiver after the passing of her father.

Steph loved animals of all types and was happy to be able to spend time volunteering at the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.  She enjoyed taking care of her pets, shopping and cooking for her family and friends. She was always willing to help out wherever and whenever she could.  She loved family holidays and gatherings. Stephanie had an infectious smile and loved making others happy. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sisters: Pamela J. Guy (M.E.G) and Ruthanne Bishop (Robert); her nieces and nephews:  Ryan C. McGraw (Erin), Reed N. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12-2PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Delhi American Legion Pavillion. where a time of sharing will be held at 12:30PM.

In finding she had written these words, listed in the front of her address book “Kind, Caring, Loving, Civilized, Sane, Lovable, and Responsible”. I truly believe Stephanie tried to live by these words and I hope we can all take the time to be all of these things.

The family thanks you for your kind thoughts and prayers.
