Obituary of Leona Vivian Hunt

Leona Vivian Hunt (nee Clark) went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2023 after a short illness.  She was born November 8, 1929.  She was 93.

Leona is survived by a daughter Cheryl Hunt, presently living in Catskill;  a sister Barbara Murray and brother Gary (Laura) Clark.  Also, many nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was predeceased by her husband Clayton D. Hunt and her twin sons Clark and Mark Hunt

Leona and Clayton were married on April 17, 1954.  Clayton served in the Army and they were stationed in France where the twins were born.  They made their lives and lived in Walton and Delhi. 

Leona enjoyed baking pies and hosting church fundraiser dinners.  She was a dedicated member of The United Ministry of Delhi.  She also enjoyed square dancing, camping and word puzzles. 

Leona supported her handicapped daughter and had great joy in witnessing Cheryl persevere and ride a horse.  They also traveled to Alaska together for Cheryl’s 50^th birthday.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Untied Ministry of Delhi, 1 Church Street, Delhi, NY with the Rev. Catherine Schuyler officiting.  Friends and relatives are invited to call from 10-11AM prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the spring at Ouleout Cemetery, Franklin.
