Obituary of Winfield Fred Marschilok

Winfield Fred Marschilok, 84,  of Hobart, passed away suddenly early Thursday morning, December 22, 2022.

Born on April 6, 1938, the son of the late Wallace and Annie (Decker) Marschilok.

Mr. Marschilok proudly served in the US Army from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1963.

Fred worked for the former Murphy Farms and then spent over 20 years working for the Town of Stamford Highway Department until his retirement.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and had a passion for fishing.  He enjoyed watching sports, cheering on the NY Yankees, one of Freds greatest passions was cheering on his children and grandchildren, including being there to watch his grandson compete in the state championships at Glens Falls, NY.

Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by brother: Wallace Jr.

He is survived by his children: Freddy (Kathy) Marschilok of Worchester, Kenny (Stephanie) Marschilok of Worchester, Laurie (Jason) Burns of Bloomville, Doug (Jennifer) Marschilok of Delhi and Beverly Marschilok of Delhi; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; sister: Betty Reed of Stamford; brother: Jim Marschilok of Hobart; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-7PM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, NY 12167.  Graveside funeral services will full military honors will be held in the spring at the Decker Cemetery, Township.
