Condolences
Dear Carol and Family,
We were so saddened to hear about Steve's passing. Friends in Gilboa and Blenheim notified us here in Finland about what happened.
It was just a couple of months ago when we were in the area that we met you both at the Heartbreak and shared a few drinks and laughs, and discussion about our time in JCS together. We'll never forget him. He made a real positive impact on those that knew him.
May your memories and the family you built help to sustain you during this difficult time.
Sincere condolences,
Diana Starheim and Werner Kather

Remembering Steve from school; He had a great sense of humor. I am just a few years younger than Steve, I recall he helped me improve in soccer and basketball with positive advise and sometimes rough play. A sign of a leader on a team. In a rural community, families helped on game nights. Steve would frequently come to our house for dinner before a game. He and my mother, Janet Liebi-Radloff, would banter back and forth. My brother Bill Waterbury kept in frequent contact all these years later. Whenever one of us visited Jefferson we were sure to see a friendly face. You have done well old friend. You have a legacy that goes deep into your community.
My most sincerely condolences to the family.
Sincerely,
John Waterbury
