Obituary of Cora J. Borggreen

Cora J. Borggreen, 72, of Jefferson, passed away at her home on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Born on August 27, 1949 in Cobleskill, Cora was the daughter of the late Percy Miller and Eva Nettie (Merwin) Miller Sutton.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse working at various hospitals and nursing homes around the area until her retirement.

Cora enjoyed crocheting and watching TV, but her greatest joy was her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always very special to her.

Besides her parents, Cora was predeceased by her husband: Henry D. Borggreen, Sr.; granddaughter: Ashely McGovern; and a brother: Edwin Miller.

She is survived by her children: Henry D. (Patricia) Borggreen of North Carolina, Sarah Borggreen of Walton, Eva (Roger) Bresee of Delhi and Tina Borggreen of Glen Lyon, PA; grandchildren: Calvin Jr. (Amber) Roe, of Delhi, Trisha (Amanda) Kiesling of Walton and Makayla Bresee of GA Jacob Bresee, LA; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: David Miller of Hobart, Susan Matteson of Michigan and Gerald Sutton of Texas; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her canine companion “Foxy” Fawna.

A celebration of life is being planed and will be announced in the future.
