Obituary of Thomas H. Vradenburgh
Thomas (Tom) H. Vradenburgh, 70, of DeLancey, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at O’Connor Hospital and went to be with the Lord.
Born on March 13, 1951 in Newburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Edison and Gloria (Puetz) Vradenburgh, Sr. Thomas was married to Deborah “Debbie” Vradenburgh on November 17, 1990, she passed away on January 20, 2022.
Tom was the true definition of living like Christ. He had a strong faith in God, a man of prayer, kind, compassionate, forgiving, loyal, generous, humble, loving and full of grace. He was owner and operator of Tom and Al's Power Equipment from 1974-1985. He then went on to operate and own his contracting company called Trinity Contractors until his retirement. He loved working with his hands and could always be found working on countless projects in and around the home. He also enjoyed nature and was very fond of taking his kids and grandkids on nature hikes, Jeep or motorcycle trips, trips to the beaver pond and reservoir, and endless bonfires. Tom was an active member of the Abundant Life Church and enjoyed his church family. He also loved spending time with his wife and family and was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather.
Thomas is survived by his daughters: Amy Vradenburgh, Jill (Jerry) Oberpriller, and Dawn (Kyle) Hogan; grandchildren: Michael Thomas Gida, Katie Lynn Gida, John Joseph Deane Gida, Michael (Kimberly) Acampora, Jeromy Oberpriller, Alexander Hilgers, Olivea Hilgers, Audrie Hilgers, Owyn Hogan, and Azekiel Hogan; great granddaughter Michaylee Acampora; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his wife and parents, Thomas was predeceased by his brother Robert Vradenburgh, granddaughter Madison Kaydence Hilgers, and brother Edison Vradenburgh, Jr.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be at 1PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Abundant Life Church, 79 Assembly Lane, Delhi, NY. The service will also be live on Facebook on the church’s Facebook page.
