Obituary of Katherine "Kate" Carman

Kate passed away December 19, 2021 at the age of 95.  She was born January 8, 1926 in Maryland, NY.  She was the daughter of Daniel and Edith (Bostwick) Cortese.

Kate lived in Prattsville for many years where she raised her children, was a member of the Methodist Church and loved to bowl at the local lanes.  In the late 60's she moved to Oneonta where she resided for many years.  She was a parishioner of the Davenport Methodist Church.  In 2018, she moved to the Pavilion at Robinson Terrace in Stamford. There she continued her love for reading, doing crossword puzzles and her Bible studies.  Kate was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

She is predeceased by her father and mother, brothers Joe, Donald, David Cortese, Raymond Nichols, and her sister Mary Clark, the father of her children Louie Carman, Sr and her son Louie George Carman, Jr.

She leaves behind her son James (Cindy) Carman, daughters Carolyn Brown, Deborah Colliton and Brenda (Stephen) Kralovich.  Her beloved grandchildren Karen Carman,  Timothy and Christine Brown, Tricia (Jon) Baum, Courtney (Luke) Lamport, Kimberly (Clifton) Thompson, Jennifer (Brian) Bell and Joseph (Dawn) Kralovich and 12 beautiful great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.

The family sends a heartfelt Thank You to ALL the staff at Senior Living for taking such great care of Kay.

As per her wishes no service will be held.
