Obituary of Victoria Lee Clark

Victoria Lee “Vicki” Clark, 77, of Petersburg, formerly of Stamford, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Rosewood Rehabilitation Center in Rensselaer of heart failure.

Born on July 31, 1944, in Grand Gorge, she was the daughter of the late Edna and Elwood Clark, Sr.

At age four her mother and adult siblings helped raise Vicki.  Her brothers: Elwood Clark Jr. and Richard Clark; her sisters: Helen Manifesto, Marion McGrane, Margret “Peg” Bailey and Louise Sutton.

Vicki had many interesting stories and memories from her childhood and later years.  She once state that it was very hard being the youngest, watching all her beloved family members pass away, the hardest was losing her son Walter “Walley” Havrish in 2019.

She leaves behind a daughter: Melody Harris; son: Tim Havrish; grandchildren: Kelli, Hailey, Amelia and Andrew: along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Vicki was a former member of Kiwanis in Stamford.  She sometimes wore crazy costumes to raise money for different charitable events, the Ninja Turtle was her favorite. Vicki had several business endeavors; she was very hard working and wasn’t afraid of the failure.  She would get back up dust herself off and keep going.  Her passion and purpose for life made her an unconventional mother, that loved her children and grandchildren.  The Thanksgiving holiday was her favorite time of year, her family would gather around the table, tell stories, and remember the good times.  That is how she would like to be remembered, to leave behind the sorrow and have a celebration of life.  Family and friends will be contacted when arrangements are made for that celebration.
