Obituary of Louise E. Dahl
Louise E. Dahl, 90, formerly of Staten Island, passed away early Thursday morning, October 21, 2021 at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a long illness.
Born on July 14, 1931 in the Bronx, Louise was the daughter of the late Albert Silvester and Eva Regina (Chaput) Clements.
She was married to James Dahl in 1947, he passed away in 1995.
She was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the New York Institute of Credit and was a 1983 graduate of Dartmouth.
Louise retired in 1996 as First Vice-President of Republic National Bank (now HSBC) after 28 years in Banking, serving as a Commercial Loan Officer. She was Past President and Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the New York Institute of Credit. She also served as President and Board Member of the New York Credit and Financial Women’s Group.
Mrs. Dahl was a parishioner of St. Sylvester Parish in Staten Island. She also was a member of New Dorp AARP.
Besides her husband and parents, Louise was predeceased by her daughter: Louise Dalton; grandson: Patrick Dalton; and siblings Albert Clements and Dorothy Sander.
She is survived by a grandson: Dennis (and wife Donna) Dalton of Davenport, NY; great-grandsons: Dominick Dalton of Davenport, NY and Cian Dalton of Staten Island, NY; granddaughter-in-law: Eileen Dalton of Staten Island, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private burial will be held in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY
