On behalf of the Delaware League Athletic Director’s and Superintendents, please know that Tom and his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time for everyone. He was always a great resource for our schools and he was a valued supporter as a reporter, keeping the public up to date with the results of our contests for all schools throughout the school year. He was also a huge supporter of our communities and athletes through his involvement with the American Legion baseball summer program for many years. Knowing we won’t see him at games to greet and catch up with will be something we all will miss. We send you all good thoughts as we keep you all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I was saddened to hear about Tom's passing. My association with Tom was primarily with the Midstatesmen Barbershop Chorus, chaptered in Oneonta. He was a member from about 1987 till 2016 when the chapter closed. Tom was a quiet likable guy with a friendly smile who could always be counted on to know his baritone part. When he wasn't in attendance, we pretty much knew he was attending to the demands of his job with the Walton Reporter of which he was quite loyal, He also put his writing skills to together each of the years we had our annual home show by by creating each of the the performance playbills.

Sad news, Tom was a great guy and good friend.

I am deeply saddened to have seen the notice of Tom Coddington's passing. For many years I looked forward to seeing him at New York Press Association conventions and events. He was good friend, a true gentleman and a dedicated journalist whose reporting had an important impact on the communities he served. We will miss him.
