Obituary of Charlene A. Palmatier

Charlene A. Palmatier, 71, of Delhi, passed away on July 14, 2021 at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

Born on January 26, 1950 in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Frances (Rossley) Stone.

She was a 1968 graduate of Delaware Academy and went on to graduate in 1971 from Columbia Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Hudson, NY.   She worked as a Registered Nurse for several hospitals over the years and also became a VISTA Volunteer for the Pierra Indian Council of the Sioux Lakota Tribe.

Charlene was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Delhi.

She is survived by her son: John (Kathleen Elliott) Palmatier of Delhi; grandsons: Gram Palmatier and Ayden Meola both of Delhi;  Siblings: Lee (Deb) Stone of Hudson, Gene Stone of Portland, ME, Mary Ann (Duke) Piroha of Hamden and Edward R. Barnhart of Hamden; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Abundant Life Church, 79 Assembly Lane, Delhi, NY.
