Obituary of Adam J. Kelly

Adam J. Kelly, 33, of Bainbridge, formerly of Delhi, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY

Born on July 16, 1987 in Oneonta, Adam was the son of the late Joseph Ward Kelly and June Barriger.

He was a 2005 graduate of Delaware Academy and following graduation Adam enlisted and proudly served in the US Army, following his honorable discharge he returned Home and began his dedicated career to Emergency Services.

Adam was a Critical Care Technician for the Town of Hancock Ambulance Squad and also served the Broome Volunteer Emergency Squad.  Adam’s dedication to Fire and Emergency Services started at a young age, first as an explorer with the Delhi Fire Department then as a member of both Delhi Fire Dept. and going on to serve as EMS Lieutenant, most recently being active in the Masonville Fire Department. Adam went on to be a career EMT/CC for several Emergency and Ambulance Squads throughout the area.

He was married to Tasha Kelly on January 6, 2018.

Besides his father, Adam was predeceased by maternal grandparents: Paul and Lavinia Barriger.

Adam is survived by his wife: Tasha Kelly; children: Katherine Kelly, Samantha Davis and Bentley Ramos-Kelly; mother: June E. Barriger; siblings: Lynn (Mark) DePalma and Keith Kelly; fraternal grandparent: Larry Kelly; stepfather: Michael Farley-Kelly; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fellow brothers and sisters in fire and emergency services.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Delhi Fire Department, 140 Delview Terrace Ext., Delhi, NY 13753.
