Obituary of Rex Palmeter
Born July 28, 1963 Rex Palmeter was the son of Everett and Arlene Palmeter in Oneonta where he also grew up and lived most all of his adult life. He moved to Delhi and has been there for several years. He adopted a cat name Princess who he took care of as if she was his child. He had a health aide for a year and half named Zana. She took care of him until his demise. He was also known as Sexy Rexy. He attended Oneonta High School. He was known by many people in the community and a host of facebook friends. He held different jobs throughout his life. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association out of the Oneonta Chapter for several years. He was baptized in the faith as a believer in Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Moose Club. He was kind hearted and a giving person. He would give the shirt off his back to help others. He helped raise his nephew Camden and would try to give what he could when he could. One of his passions was food and a lot of electronic gadgets. He especially loved his Asian food at the Oasis. Rex enjoyed watching reality cop shows, judge shows and storage wars.
Rex was called home on March 10, 2021 to meet his mother, father and sister Bunny. He leaves behind a wife Vernell Linnen Palmeter, a stepdaughter Sherese and step-grandchildren Ellis and Amina. He also leaves behind three brothers, Mark (Kathy), Bruce (his wife) and Randy (Debbie) and a sister Rachel. He had many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, his in-laws on his wife’s side and a host of friends.
