Marty Donnelly was my favorite cousin and the son of my beloved Aunt Muriel (Gong) my mother's older sister. While I have been to Andes, it has been years and years. I had reconnected with Marty, by phone since last spring and spent many hours talking with Marty. He told me and reminded me so much of our family's history. He loved both my parents and I especially loved him talking about his love of Italian food. It had been my hope to bring him a wonderful Italian meal some day.I had hoped to visit him in NC once it was safe to do so. He was a one of a kind. Always so nice to me and polite and loving to his family and especially his beloved Yvonne. I still can't believe he is gone. It is a tragedy for all who knew and loved him. My condolences to his children, my cousins, whom I never got to know very well due to distance. Please accept my deepest sympathy and I would hope to attend a service for Marty at a later date in Andes.
