Obituary of Darlene E. Tait

Darlene E. Tait, 58, formerly of Delhi, passed away on Sunday evening, October 18, 2020 at the Oneida Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Utica, where she has resided for the last several years.

Born on December 12, 1961 in Liberty, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cullen and Doreen Tait.

Darlene served in the US Navy and following her honorable discharge returned to the Delaware County area.  Residing in Walton she worked at the Delaware County ARC and RFI, moving to Oneonta and later to the Oneida Center in Utica.

She enjoyed taking long walks and dancing.  Darlene loved cats and often could be found petting them.

Besides her parents, Darlene was predeceased by her brother: Lynn Lavell and a nephew: James Crosby.

Darlene is survived by her siblings: Ronnie (Martie) Tait of East Meredith, Danny Tait of Delhi, Dale Tait of Andes, Donna Crosby of Delhi, Diane Tait of Delhi and Douglas (Yun) Tait of Dayton, OH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date, burial will take place with her parents at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
