My brother Harold, and I shared a lot through the years: walking together to school, or to Sunday School in Indiana, Antwerp Belgium or Gjerstad Norway ... learning to shoot a BB gun, and then a 22 rifle at Gjerstad. The three of us built a small "cabin" from scrap wood up the hill from the "Haugeto home" and buried "treasures" (Many years later, Harold searched for our treasure cache.)
The first photo shows the two of us when we lived in Lake Charles Louisiana - Harold was nicknamed "Cottontop" for his very white hair. The second photo was taken at one of the many weddings of all our children - and the last was taken October 2019.
We were "Best Man" for each other's weddings as well as in our lives. I will truly miss my brother Harold.
