Obituary of Kay Margaret Wilson

Kay Margaret Wilson, 68, of Delhi passed away at her home in Indian Land, SC on Sunday, December 22, 2019 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 29, 1951 in Delhi, Kay was the daughter of the late Clinton and Virginia (Kelly) Cornell. She graduated from South Kortright Central School, where she was Valedictorian of the class of 1969 and received a Bausch and Lomb Scholarship. Kay went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University. Kay married Mr. Burton Wilson on August 9, 1975 in Delhi, Burton passed away on August 8, 1996. Mrs. Wilson worked for Delaware County Department of Social Services for over 25 years, retiring in 2011. She is survived by her children: Eileen Dougherty, Jeff Wilson, Brian Wilson, Jodi Wolbert, Jay Wilson, Robin Wilson, Rebekah Wilson, Margaret Wilson, Emily Bozek and Sarah Naber; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 10AM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Delhi Community Church, 46378 State Highway 10, Delhi, with the Rev. Derek Johnson, officiating. Following the memorial there will be a time of sharing in the church hall.
