Obituary of Isabel Flower

Isabel Flower, 96, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her home in Hobart. Born on September 17, 1923 in Walton, Isabel was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Vida (Little) Murray. Isabel was a 1946 Graduate of Delaware Academy. During World War II she was employed by Scintilla/Bendix Aviation Co. On June 2, 1946 Isabell married Kenneth G. Flower, a union that lasted 66 years until Ken passed on April 8, 2013. The couple enjoyed spending time with family at Caroga Lake and wintering in Port Charlotte, FL. Mrs. Flower was a former member of the Eastern Star, Hobart United Methodist Church and the Hobart Civic Club. Isabel enjoyed playing golf and was a member at both Stamford Golf Course and Nick Stoner Golf Course in Caroga Lake. Besides her husband and parents, Isabel was predeceased by a daughter: Pamela; sisters: Frances Smith and Ruth Telford; and brothers: Robert Murray and Lyall Murray. She is survived by her son: Tim Flower and Janel Kilmer of Hobart; Janel’s daughter: Janelee (Dominick) Kelley and her children: Jaylee and Daniel Kelley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Isabel’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
