Toni was an early mentor for me when I first moved to NYC some 25 years ago. Her and Skip were kind and caring and offered me an education, some inside industry savvy and their friendship. Toni and I remained friends for all of the years since I worked with her and was always one of the brightest lights when entering a room. Kindred spirits in name, I will always be grateful for her mentorship and friendship. She will be missed and remembered for her infectious positivity, spitfire wit and kind heart. I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the services for her but send my most sincerest condolences and most heartfelt love to her family and friends. May her sweet soul rest in peace!! I consider Toni one of my most cherished "work" friends. We worked together for 10+ yrs. - casting in for commercials and VO's. Because I was based in Boston, I rented space in NY, mostly from Toni and Skip, with Terry Ronca as their assistant. They were so welcoming and we grew to be a family. Back in the day, we worked on 3/4" decks (OMG!) and had to type our casting log on an IBM Selectra. When Skip passed, I was in awe of how Toni held it together and maintained her business. She held Skip's smile in her heart and she pushed through...

Technology has come far, and changed the way we cast actors. What will not change is the way I define true friendship and love. Toni embodied an open, loving spirit and was a true friend. She never judged, and she always found time to look people in the eye and listen to them. That is what made her a great casting directer and a great person- her empathy and open heart.

I am so sorry that I can't be there today for Toni's service. I am hoping that there might be a service in Manhattan for all of the actors Toni knew and treated so kindly. Toni was a terrific casting director. I loved going to her appointments. She loved our business and treated us all with such respect. We could do our best work when auditioning for Toni because she never judged harshly, gave us great direction and allowed us to make mistakes.
