Janice was a dear friend and fun colleague. I've never known someone who was both so firmly-grounded and fun-loving. She was a friend to me when I first arrived in Delhi and I spent many hours watching her arrange flowers: she working, me chattering. She was kind to me and I hope I pass that on to others in her memory.

Very sorry. She was a lovely lady. Always had beautiful flowers.

I will never forget our time singing in the triple trio even at our graduation. You were always a special and caring friend and I will miss you.

It was always a happy time when we were together: violin lessons, skating, Alfred, infrequent lunches, etc.

I started working with Janice around 1987 and worked for her for 11 years. We loved the florist business and I was grateful she let me work part time so I could be with my kids after they got home from school. She had a big heart and would always be interested in listening as we became friends and would always help people out.

She loved her pets and I especially remember her parakeet which I got attached to as well as he would sit on my head or glasses while I worked! So sorry & shocked to hear of your passing, you are catching up with your parents & grandfather in heaven!

When I plant my spring flowers I will think of Janice

I met Janice about a year ago at a truck stop in Jamestown, ND. It was a busy day and we shared a booth. She was so interesting, and I'm glad I got to know her. She will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear of Janice's passing. She was such a caring, gentle person and a dedicated member of First Presbyterian in our years at the church and in Delhi.

We so enjoyed her friendship and her many visits to us in the manse!

My sincere condolences to the family. From high school at DA to all the times we had occasion to meet, at church, at the flower shop, or on the street, Janice was always so friendly and kind.

Went to school with Janice, saw her often when doing the florist shop. Lovely lady, saw her off and on over last few years. She has been missed greatly here, and will always miss her. Sorry for the families loss.

I met Janice at church and we have a mutual friend, Phyllis Ibes, who is the reason Janice retired in Jamestown, ND. She worked for Phyllis in her photography studio 50 years ago. She joined our church in 2017 and I interviewed her at that time for our church newsletter. She endeared herself to many people in Jamestown and I, for one, enjoyed her company almost every week at Wednesday evening service, out to Pelican Point, a resort on the lake outside of town; we took in the 4 homes on a garden tour last summer and she joined about 35 of us on a motor coach tour of small country churches within a 70 mile radius of Jamestown. She was a faithful visitor of her friend Phyllis who resides in Ava Maria Village, a nursing home in Jamestown. Janice had a great sense of humor and was very well versed on many subjects including the Bible. There is a reason Janice came into our lives. She shared many memories of her family with us as well as sharing her many ventures including how she came to Jamestown in the first place those many years ago. We are all blessed having had her in our lives, even for such a brief time.
