Obituary of Philip A. Sireci

Philip A. Sireci, 70, of Harpersfield, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday morning May 9, 2019 following a long illness.

Born on January 11, 1949 in Manhattan, New York, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Marcilleno) Sireci.

Educated in New York City, Philip worked for the the IRS and later moved to the Catskill’s, working as an Economic Development Specialist with the Catskill Watershed Corp. until illness forced his early retirement.

Mr. Sireci was of the Catholic faith and attended mass at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford.

Philip enjoyed target shooting and was a firearm enthusiast, he enjoyed spending time with his canine and feline companions, one of his greatest joys was spending time with his beloved wife Virginia.

Besides his parents, He was predeceased by an infant daughter: Shelby Anne.

Philip is survived by his wife: Virginia of Harpersfield; a sister: Mary (Anthony) Pennachio of New Jersey; two nieces, and a nephew.

Friends and relatives are invited to call from 11AM-1PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford. Followed at 2PM by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. Private burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford.
