Obituary of Owen G. Merwin

It is with great sadness that the family of Owen G. Merwin announces that he passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2019 while surrounded by loved one’s.

Owen was a native of East Meredith NY born on December 6, 1944. He was employed at Royal Oak, Inc where he worked for 30 years and later retired from Story House Corp in 2001.

He was predeceased by his dearly loved mother Josephine Clark-Merwin and father George Merwin; his great nephew Eric Merwin, and close cousin Joseph Merwin. 

Owen is survived by his loving partner of 50+ years, Elizabeth Misner and their three sons William (Deo) Misner of East Meredith, Robert (Vanessa Shah) Misner of East Meredith, Raymond (Sheila) Misner of Worcester, and daughter in law Monique (Shad Burger) Misner of Davenport Ctr as well as his brother Douglas (Mildred) Merwin of Davenport and Uncle Paul (Patricia) Clark. Additionally, he will be remembered fondly by his grandchildren Mark, Kevin, Nycole, Kimberly, Abby, Nachelle, Haylee, Miah, several great grandchildren, and special friends Mathew Northrop (Northbound) and Shawn (Brandy) Anderson.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 12noon to 1PM on Friday, April 19^th, 2019 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford. Followed at 2PM with a graveside service and burial at Stamford Cemetery,
