Dick was a great mentor. Together we created a low-fee therapy clinic in 1980 that offered therapy at eight dollars a session and trained therapists for 16 years. He was a pioneer in community mental health and a man of principle
We will miss conversations with Dick and listening to him play his guitar. He was a great lover of the outdoors and interested in historical things and of course politics. There is an empty space here now.
Dick was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. He was one to appreciate the pastoral view from his back deck - enough to help chase the cows if they got out, and write a letter to the editor in support of farming. He loved to be outside - even mowing our lawn if it needed it. We are sorry to see you go on to heaven before us, but save us a spot next door.
