Mike was a good neighbor. We always enjoyed seeing him and chatting with him. He was always upbeat despite his health. We bought a beef calf from him when we first moved up here. When I started making maple syrup I stopped by and asked Mike many questions. He was polite and very helpful. We will miss seeing him around. Prayers to the family.

This is a true picture of who Mike was. He always had a smile on his face, no matter what the situation. I have seen a furrowed brow a few times, only when he was thinking what his come back was going to be. We have lost an extraordinary man, but he has joined an elite group of farmers that need his smile, humor, his expertise, his will to survive. He has passed that on to any who have met or known him. While we mourn his passing and miss him terribly, he was taken from us for a greater purpose that we do not understand, but we have to have faith. Annette and family, Karen, Mom Moody, no words can take away the pain you are all feeling, but know that you have a strong support system and we are here for you. May the strength, courage, and positive outlook on life that Mike had, carry us all through this transition. Rest in peace Mike, we love you and miss you. I know for me, it will never be the same checking on the cows.
