My sympathy to Cora's family. She was a thoughtful and kind friend to my mother Dot. They gathered every Monday evening for an hour of bingo with Bonnie and John. The four of them were the core group. They started on time and ended five minutes early so each could return to their apartment to watch their favorite 8pm show. Cora made sure everyone "ante - up" before each game. Some nights the winnings were nearly $2.00!
Twice yearly when visiting Dot, I was fortunate to be with Cora and friends for Monday bingo.
I last saw Cora in May 2016 when I returned for Mom's burial, and join the group for an hour. We shared a box of chocolates, caught up on our lives, and Cora kept us on track with who was the next caller, and who owed the kitty. I know this is a very small snippet of a long and wonderful life, but she touched mine and I feel her loss.
