Obituary of Montie R. Hobbie

Montie R. Hobbie, 57, of Cambridge, NY, formerly of Bovina, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Born on August 10, 1960 in Delhi, he was the son of the late Glenn J. and Anna (Boggs) Hobbie, and grew up in the Bovina area.
Montie had worked for Bank of America in Menands.
He is married to Amber Russell Hobbie.
Montie was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was also enjoyed mechanics, doing repairs on cars and trucks.  Montie enjoyed animals, he like the companionship of dogs and cats.  His greatest joy was his family, he was a loving husband and proud father.
He is survived by his wife: Amber Hobbie of Cambridge; children: Matthew Harrington of PA , Kelly Milsteen of PA, Austin, Grace and Owen Hobbie all of Cambridge; brothers: Jack (Yvonne Favereav) Hobbie and Glenn Hobbie both of Bovina; a sister: Dawn (Dan) Mainville of Colonie; father & mother in law: Mike and Laurie Russell of Princetown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Bovina Presbyterian Church, Bovina Center.  Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Bovina Cemetery.
