Obituary of Donald Clayton Shamus

DELHI Donald Clayton Shamus, 21, of Delhi, died unexpectedly, June 18, 2013 at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi. He was born on August 13, 1991 in Hudson, the son of Louise Mueller. A 15 year resident of Delhi, Donald was self-employed as a handy man. He was a loving and adored son and younger brother; a wonderful young man who always put his family and friends first. He loved the outdoors. He was a loving mentor to his nieces and nephews and children. He also had a tremendous love for his children, whole family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Louise Mueller; his children, Alyssa Shamus and Joshua and Onyka Capps-Shamus; his sisters, Katrina DelValle, Sabrina Barnes-Mueller, Ambrosia Ford; a brother, Gregory Shamus; his grandparents, Clayton and Jane Sprague; nieces and nephews, Joseph Mueller, Asia Warner, Christian DelValle, James Vitale, Jr., Jordan DelValle, Myra Vitale, Ulani Ford, Elle Ford, Patrick Ford, Jr., Tyler Barnes, and Donny Ford; his girlfriend, Virginia Capps; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Elfrieda (Simmons) Sprague; and his aunt Karen (Sprague) Mondore. Friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi. A service will take place at a later date. Contributions in his memory are asked to be made to the Delhi Emergency Squad; and to his three children, Alyssa, Joshua and Onyka.
