My condolences to the families of Amanda. I had the privilege of knowing her and working with all her siblings! God Bless.
Amanda was the first close friend that God brought into my life when I was a young freshman at Davis College. We met on the very first day, and soon found that we shared a common bond in our love for God, our family, animals, being outdoors, and root beer! Lol! She was such a blessing in my life as I was so far away from my family in Ireland, and all that I knew. She treated me like family, and it meant the world to me! I cherish every memory I have of being with her! She could mimic the sound of a cat so well, and I the sound of a dog. Together, we had some students convinced that there were animals living in the girl's dorm. Amanda, Nora, and I used to stay up until all hours of the night talking, and laughing on many an occasion. Other times it was drawing pictures with chalk on the sidewalk, climbing trees, blowing bubbles, dancing in the snow, playing UNO, and so many other fun, random things! We knew we were just big kids at heart, and we embraced it! More than all those memories though, I remember the way the light of Christ shone through her eyes, and the way her actions and words testified to her love for Him. She was an amazing woman of God, and I am so thankful that I had the privilege to get to know her, and be her friend. My heart goes out to her family! Praying for you all! Erin
One late winter night a year ago or so. She was checking her fb, she stated she was having a craving for chocolate chip cookies. But it was 8:00 at night and didn't have the ingredients. So just so happens I was in the middle of baking Chocolate chip cookies , So Christopher and I wrapped up some fresh warm cookies and suprised her outside the house as she was headed out to bed down animals. I think we kind of scared her , she jumped. but she sure enjoyed seeing those cookies.
Will miss chatting when she'd wander the neighborhood for a stroll with Jeff.
Dear Jeff,
We will hold in our hearts all of the special blessings Amanda brought into our lives.
She was our "Sweet Niece"...I will never forget those hugs full of Christ's love.
To love is to place our happiness in the happiness of another.
