Obituary of Frank T. Ballantyne

Frank T. Ballantyne, 73, of Delhi, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at his home following a long illness. Born on June 18, 1942 in Walton, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Stella (Palmer) Ballantyne. He was married to Edna E. Jones Ballantyne on April 10, 1977 in Masonville. In his earlier years, Frank worked on the family dairy farm, and then worked at Woodland Cemetery in Delhi, where he helped to care for the grounds for several years. He enjoyed bowling in a local league. Frank also liked to build and fly model airplanes, He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, and fishing, especially trips to Pulaski during salmon season. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by two brothers: Alfred and Charles Ballantyne. He is survived by his wife: Edna Ballantyne of Delhi; one son: David Ballantyne of Delhi; a daughter: Roseann Schoch of Walton; stepson: Ernie Davis of Unadilla; grandchildren: Lillian Schoch and Jennifer Robinson both of Walton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at Frank and Edna's home at 2PM on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 43 Hamilton Trailer Park Rd., Delhi.
