Obituary of Arthur Paul Wunsch

Davenport Arthur Paul Wunsch of Davenport, New York passed away peacefully with family by his side at Fox Hospital, Oneonta, NY. He was born April 28, 1944 in Paterson, New Jersey the son of Arthur and Margaret Wunsch. Before moving to Davenport to be closer to family in 1997 Paul lived in Paterson and Haledon, New Jersey. He lived with parents until 2006, then lived with his sister Margie and brother-in-law Jorge for 6 years, then1 ½ years in Robinson Terrace. Paul , who had autism, has been a member of Co-ed Explorer Post 69 a troop for people with mental disabilities in New Jersey. He also participated in Special Olympics for over 20 years. He attended the ARC Program in Walton and Oneonta. Paul was a very special brother to Laura McAteer and Laurane and (Russell) Cole and Margie and (Jorge) Ortega. He was a much loved uncle to Lisa and (Joseph) Fisher, Larry and( Mitzi )McAteer, Buddy Cole, Edward and (Sharon) McAteer, Lori and (Tim) Fisher, Ronald Cole and Jessica Risley; a great uncle to Russell, C.J., Mitchell, Matthew, and Jordyn Fisher, Ryan, Tyler and Meghan McAteer, Amanda Frazier, Elijah and Ethan Risley. He was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Larry McAteer and nephew James McAteer. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Fox Hospital and Robinson Terrace for all their care and compassion. A Private Celebration of his Life will be at a later date.
