Condolences
Very fond memories of Dotty. My condolences to the whole family.
We would like to extend our sympathy to Rich, Marc and family. I remember the fun times we had visiting your family in Bovina when I was young and Dotty making us feel at home.
Since my childhood in Queens I remember Dotty and her family as part of my family and a "big sister" I never had. She loved to laugh and have a good time even though the times were difficult.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the words in Isaiah 26:19 give you hope and comfort.
Dotty was my mothers best friend and when I grew up she became my friend. Traveling together in Germany, Italy and Switzerland are some of my favorite memories. She never forgot my wedding anniversary and the cards she sent were always beautiful. My first memories are when my mom was still alive and we visited all of you in Bovina. The banjo playing, the trunk line on the phone. I will miss her very much
Dear Mark and Rich and family - my heart goes out to you at this time. I have wonderful memories of Dotty! Great hearty laugh, great strength, great cook and great honesty when us reckless youths needed to have our " beads read"! Love and Hugs, Kathy
To Dotty's family I extend my sincere sympathy to each of you... I had the (indeed) pleasure of working with your mom/grandmother at DNB for as many years as she was there... She truly was a joy to be with; minced no words on her thoughts, but in a very respectful way... She was a wonderful worker... May each of you find a peace within, knowing and trusting that she now is reunited with her life partner for eternity... God bless you all..
Dottie was always very welcoming and sweet to me and I enjoyed visiting with her. I still have her recipe for "Dottie's Pineapple Squares" in my recipe file, and every time I look at that recipe, I think of Dottie and her generosity.
I'm sorry this day has come. Dotty was always so nice and warm towards me and treated me as her own son. She always asked about my family with genuine interest and was always extremely hospitable. I stayed many times with Richard, my best friend and childhood companion, at their farm and learnt many things about building, driving tractors, shooting tin cans and getting into trouble - many lessons that helped form me into an adult. I'm sorry to see a great family thin continually. Dotty was always the heart of the house.
She will be missed.
