Obituary of Frederick D. Jeffers

Davenport Frederick D. Jeffers, 75 passed away July 19, 2014 from a brief illness. Born September 17, 1938 in Decator, NY the son of the late Walter and Sadie (Dauley) Jeffers. He married and is survived by the former Doris Zimmerman and two daughters and one son; Christine and William Beams, Sherry and Dan Craft and David and Diana Jeffers; three step-children; Sandra and Gerald Stevens, Dennis and Heather Conroy and Susan and Kevin Wood; 14 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, expecting the 4th soon. Two sisters Laura LaPlant, Marie and Robert Becker and many family and friends. And his furry PAL Barney. He was predeceased by a sister Wilma Yoder, brothers-in-law Norman Yoder and Alvin (Squeakie) LaPlant Sr. and furry PAL Doll and other family members. Fred was a real hard worker and family man. From youth to retirement, putting in long hard hours and miles driving truck. He enjoyed his family, friends and pets and his antique classic cars, showing them at Car Shows. Memorial Services will be held at the Davenport Fire Department on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 5-7pm.
