Obituary of Louise Isabelle Redden

ANDES — Louise Isabelle Redden, 91, of Andes, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville. She was born on Nov. 25, 1922, in Westford, the daughter of Jay and Blanche Mould. A 1940 graduate of Schenevus Central School, Louise worked for the telephone company in Oneonta and Newburgh during World War II. It was while working in Newburgh that she met her husband, George Redden, Sr. They were married on Aug. 24, 1947. A member of the Sacred Heart Church in Margaretville, Louise was an avid gardener and bird watcher, and loved to travel. She is survived by her children, Kathy and Jerry Wright of Bovina, George Jr. and Wendy Redden of Andes, and Dan Redden of Andes; grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Wright, Luke and Rachel Wright and Alexis Redden; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jillian, Abby, Jayden, Hogan, and Owen; and nephews, Jay, Dave and Chuck Mould. She was predeceased by her husband, George Redden Sr. in 1999; and 2 brothers, Herb and Charles Mould. Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at the MacArthur Funeral Home in Delhi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Sacred Heart Church in Margaretville with Rev. David Mickiewicz of St. Mary's Church in Oneonta as celebrant.
