Obituary of Norma Dianich

Stamford Norma (Minetti) Dianich from Stamford, NY, 77 years old, lost her battle with Kidney failure on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Norma was born on February 25, 1937 in Manhattan. She went to Catholic Grammar School and attended Cathedral College in Manhattan. She married Silvio Dianich in 1957 in New York City. She enjoyed serving people and worked as a waitress at Kennys in NYC for many years. They lived in Ozone Park, Queens for many years before retiring. In 1971 Silvio and Norma bought what we all affectionately call "The Farm" on Pickens Road. Norma enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and was an avid reader. She loved going to town and driving to the library. She was an active member of Catholic Daughters of America, Sacred Heart Woman's Guild and Stamford-Hobart Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughter Dorine (Norman) Muller; sons, Anthony (Deb) Dianich and Joseph (Sharon) Dianich and stepmom to Linda Minetti. Norma loved her sister very much Maria (Guerrino) Dianich. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Danielle, Eric, Melissa, Luke, Ryan, Amber, Rebecca and Robert and many great grandchildren. She leaves her nephew Michael (Gina) Dianich. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Marcello Dianich and sister-in-law Alma Arcese in Italy. She will be missed by many friends and neighbors. Norma was predeceased by her parents Armando and Anna Minetti and brother Al Minetti. Calling hours will be Friday, August 8, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, NY on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 12 Noon with Rev. Matthew Wetsel celebrant.
