Obituary of Clifford Glen Kaufman

Hobart Clifford Glen Kaufman, 83 of Hobart, New York passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born June 10, 1931 in Delhi, New York the son of Kenneth and Edna (Russell) Kaufman. Glen was a graduate of South Kortright Central School in 1950; and State University of NY at Morrisville and the State University of NY at Oswego. He served during the Korean War in the United States Army. A mechanic for a number of years he taught auto mechanics for 18 years at ONC BOCES in Grand Gorge, upon retiring he opened his own locksmith business and maintained the business for several years. He was a member of the Hobart Fire Department for 37 years; was a Founding Member of the Hobart Emergency Squad; was a member of the Hobart Village Board and Hobart Planning Committee; and a Member of the Hobart Historical Society. He is survived by a brother, Robert Kaufman and Glen's companion Iva Crone and her daughter Diana Parton and many cousins and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Helen (Hoyt) Kaufman; and his brothers Everett Kaufman and Kenneth Russell Kaufman. Calling hours will take place on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, NY. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 20th at 2:00pm with Rev. Bert More officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery, Hobart, NY.
