Obituary of John Bjorkander

ANDES John Bjorkander, 77, of Andes passed away on Friday October 10, 2014. He was born July 4, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Irvington High in 1955. He served two years in the United States Air force. He also served on Tuckahoe Police force from 1962 until 1992, was chairman of the Delaware County Conservative Party and a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.S fraternal order of law enforcement. John is survived by his ex-wife Dolores Willis; and his sons John, Scott and Glen. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughters Stacy and Kristina. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Oct 15, 2014 at 3 p.m. at MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Delhi. Viewing hours will begin at 1 p.m. and take place until service time. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
