Obituary of Genevieve Graham Merwin

Davenport Genevieve Graham Merwin, 66 of Davenport, NY passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at home. She was born in Margaretville, NY on September 9, 1948 the daughter of Alexander and Genevieve (Scott) Graham. She was married twice, Kenneth Merwin and Irving Merwin and they both predeceased her. A Graduate of Charlotte Valley Central School she served in the United States Army and was employed at Robinson Terrace, Stamford, NY as a Nurse's Aide. She is survived by her children, Bryan (Jessie) Merwin, Martha (Mike) VanBlarcom, Brenda Wilsey, Sara Jane Porter and Blanche Wilsey; her grandchildren, Aven Santiago, Cadience Santiago, Naleb Merwin, Mark Sanderson, Karl Sanderson, Saddie Sanderson, Mason VanBlarcom, Max VanBlarcom, Chantyl Joes and Kassondra Porter, and great grandchildren, George Becker Jr., and Nevaeh Sanderson. Also several nieces and nephews and "taken in" children and her siblings, Timothy Graham, Kathleen Weisenbarger, Clara Merwin, Margaret (Jake) Banks, and way too many friends and family to mention. She was predeceased by both husbands and brother-in-law William Merwin and a very special friend Richard Merwin. Genevieve was so grateful for the most precious son Bryan Merwin at the age of 36 and her grandson Kaleb Merwin who were at her side during her long fight with cancer. Also thanks to the support of Hospice. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice.
