Obituary of Adrienne Balaban

HAMDEN Adrienne Balaban, 87 of Hamden, formerly of Long Island and St. Johnsville, NY passed away Monday, December 1st at home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill and son William, she is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Reese) Ortiz, Sandra(Tink) Tompkins, Grandchildren Whitney (Matt) Kepler, Tyler Roberts and Adrienne (Jacob) Carney, great grandchildren Payton and Joseph, of Maxwell, Texas and Sister Vera Kudla and Family of Flushing, NY. Nana will be remembered by her unconditional love for family, her love of birds and her sense of humor, among countless other enduring qualities. She was known for her sweet nature and selfless ways. She was a pleasure to be with, always adding a touch of wit. Although she will be dearly missed, we take great comfort in knowing she will be reunited with her husband and only son in heaven. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. As the last few weeks of life grew harder for her each day, we were assisted by the loving staff of the Catskill Area Hospice, who made each day easier to bear and as pain free as possible.
