Obituary of Lorraine B. Charles

Lorraine B. Charles, 75, of Cairo, formerly of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson follow a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Lorraine was born on May 17, 1941 in Huntington, Long Island, NY. She was married to Theodore B. Wetzel, who passed away in 1998, On May 3, 2008 Lorraine married Henry E. Charles. Lorraine enjoyed cooking, crafts, making fabric dolls, word search puzzles and reading, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Besides her first husband, Theodore, she was predeceased by a daughter, Bella Jean Wetzel in 1975. Mrs. Charles is survived by her husband: Henry of Cairo; children: Arthur B. (Ilene Sullivan) Wetzel of Long Island and Yvonne J. (Jonathan) Rheel of Davenport; step children: Lisa (Don Vane) Sara of Schenevus, Cindy D'Esposito of Cairo, Cheri Hahne of Greensboro, NC, Wendy Galbraith of Seymour, TN, Cheryl (Tim) Welcher of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren: Dennis (Lori) Rheel, Christina Drayton, Jessica (Dan) Martin, Morgan Harnoski; granddaughters of Henry: Shirley (Ray) Mally, Corene (Peter) Coloton and Elizabeth Galbraith; and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 2-5PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Delhi.
